Eighteen outdoor courts in two banks at Avalon’s 8th Street recreation complex on Dune Drive, the biggest public pickleball site at the shore. In season, 8am to noon is pay-to-play by skill level ($5 cash drop-in or a seasonal pass) and noon to 8pm is free play on courts 11 to 18. No reservations, no play before 8am, and no lights, so play ends at dusk. Theme nights and beginner clinics in summer.
